Grant Birkenbeuel is Vice President of Birk Creative. Grant Birkenbeuel provides information technology consulting, support and infrastructure, as well as project management and admin duties to Birk Creative. In 2010, at his former global logistics company, he won "Employee of the Year" award in for going “above and beyond while demonstrating client-centric thinking and action.” While at UTi, now DSV, a global leader in logistics and supply-chain management, he was responsible for company-wide computer and network software and hardware. To increase employee efficiency, he has provided infrastructure upgrades to multiple branches, including 100-plus users at the Chicago site. His agile response to emergency situations has included effectively containing and removing a global virus, keeping user downtime to a minimum.He led the planning, coordination and implementation of new communication systems for the firm’s 75,000-square-foot Chicago office. He served as technical liaison with the company’s main IT hub in California and managed vendors’ competitive bidding.His time- and money-saving solutions have included a technology fix that effectively joined two non-adjacent office spaces to boost productivity when the Chicago office doubled in size. He helped make possible the seamless rollout of a Global Sales software package, with onsite installations and training.

Kara Burrell WrightCommunity and Corporate Engagement Strategist
Kara Burrell Wright is Birk Creative's corporate and community engagement strategist. She is also the founder of Mindhearted, Inc., a diversity education company for parents passionate about raising culturally competent children. To date, the Mindhearted community has parent subscribers in the United States, Canada, Europe and Africa—all with the mission of respecting and building understanding with people regardless of background, beliefs, education, experience, gender, sexual identity, religion or skin tone. Kara began her career as a diversity and inclusion specialist with an organization development firm and served as consultant and client engagement manager. She worked with both private and public sector organizations including Fortune 500, national non-profits and several other state and local organizations. Watch her video here.
Katherine LindstedtCopywriter and Communications Strategist
Katherine Lindstedt is a copywriter and communications strategist with expertise in branding, content strategy, and email and social media marketing. She has nearly a decade of experience helping nonprofits, cultural institutions, and brands reach new audiences, engage their communities, and increase brand visibility.
Previously she was a Copywriter at Big Duck and a Communications Associate at Blue State Digital, where she specialized in nonprofit communications, fundraising, and advocacy. She holds a BA in Comparative Literature from Brown University and enjoys leveraging the power of the written word to effect social change.
