JinJa Birkenbeuel Named to NSBA Leadership Council

Chicago – JinJa Birkenbeuel, Chief Executive Officer, Birk Creative, Chicago was recently named to the National Small Business Association (NSBA) Leadership Council. NSBA is the nation’s oldest small-business advocacy organization, and operates on a staunchly nonpartisan basis. Birkenbeuel, a recognized leader in the small-business community, joins the NSBA Leadership Council alongside other small-business advocates from across the country as they work to promote the interests of small business to policymakers in Washington, D.C.

“As a small-business owner, I see daily the importance of being involved and active--online and offline--when it comes to laws and regulation,” stated Birkenbeuel. “Joining NSBA’s Leadership Council will enable me to take our collective small-business message to the people that need to hear it most: Congress.”

JinJa Birkenbeuel is the founder of a new start up The Honest Field Guide Podcast and CEO of Birk Creative, a brand strategy and management consulting agency founded in 1997. JinJa is a serial entrepreneur. She launched her Americana Country band Utah Carol like a business in 1995 whose songs can be heard in major motion films, and also in Ice-Cube's 30 for 30 ESPN documentary about L.A. Raiders Coach Al Davis, is an Apple iBook Publisher through her digital book publishing company Birk Digital, and also was on the team that established the foundation for Google Inc.'s national Digital Coaching Program, created to train underrepresented and marginalized American businesses, which include all women, to succeed online. She is also is one of the forty women that founded The Women In Entrepreneurship Institute at DePaul University and serves on the board of Directors for the Jewish-Black Business Alliance. JinJa also in an investor in Journey Foods, one of America’s only Black-owned and founded food industry start up, and is an advisor to Australia-based, and woman-owned Pax Republic. Birkenbeuel joined the NSBA Leadership Council as part of her efforts to raise awareness and tackle the many critical issues facing small business which include access to revenue-generating technology, technology education, automation and artificial intelligence and how it will impact small business and finally how the Affordable Care Act is impacting small business. The NSBA Leadership Council is focused on providing valuable networking between small-business advocates from across the country while ensuring small business a seat at the table as Congress and regulators take up key small-business proposals.
