How To Create A Movie using Google Photos

This Is How To Create A Movie from The Photos In Your Google Photo Library

Creating a movie from Google Photos is ridiculously simple. Google photos has a feature called "Movie" or "Movie Editor" that allows you to easily create a video using your photos and videos. Here are the steps to create a movie from Google Photos:

First, open Google Photos: Go to the Google Photos website (photos.google.com) or open the Google Photos app on your mobile device. Make sure you're signed in to your Google account. And then look for “UTILITIES.”

Decide whether you want to make a movie, animation or collage. Choose.

A movie provides you with emotional templates, or you can create your own emotion. Within Create a “MOVIE” I chose “Selfie” and “They Grow Up Too Fast" which to my delight, allowed me to choose which child I want to make a movie from. Google Photos has facial recognition features built in, so when you tag one face, it will recognize all the matching faces in your Google Photos.

Same with animation, you will be prompted to choose which photos you’d like to include. Choose your images. Then watch Google Photos make it magical for you. Animation makes a .gif… sometimes .gifs are difficult to download and post as .gifs to certain platforms. You may have to open the .gif in a different app to see the .gif outside of Google Photos.

You can download the movie, collage or animation that Google made for you, or share it with your friends, family or post to social media or YouTube. Remember, you can create your own new movie, animation or collage also. Google Photos will automatically create a movie with your selected photos and videos.

Save Your Movie: Once you're satisfied with your movie, collage or animation, click the "Save" or "Done" button, depending on your device. Google Photos will generate the movie and save it to your library.

Share Your Movie: You can share your movie with others by clicking the "Share" button. You can choose to share it via a link, on social media, or with specific people.

Download Your Movie: If you want to keep a copy of the movie on your device, you can download it by clicking the "Download" option, if available.

Check out my “Highlight Video,” “Collage” and the “Animation.” All of these features are available on Google Photos completed the steps I outlined above. It’s SO easy to do this and the bonus is that there is zero cost, outside of your Workspace or enhanced Gmail account costs.

Google Photos is great because it comes with your Gmail and/or Workspace account. Embedded within the browser, no app needed. Music isn’t too bad either, although I wish I could embedd my own from my band Utah Carol.
