Our passion for helping small businesses thrive online is such a core of our practice that Google tapped Birk Creative to be a collaborating architect of its Accelerate with Google in 2015. Due to the positive impact of the program on small, historically underserved businesses across the US, the program was acquired in 2017 by Grow with Google to become the Grow with Google Digital Coaches program. It also hired us to review the retailer marketing campaigns designed for its individual store owners across the world. We analyzed their print collateral, pop-up displays and coupon sheets, and also gave suggestions around social media marketing and advertising. Birk Creative provided a comprehensive creative, print, online and digital audit, and also recommended a major local search audit and a powerful review of True Value’s online store locator solution. In auditing and improving True Value’s digital ecosystem, we gave it tools to increase store visits and improve customer experience. A new and updated digital ecosystem provides retailers with data and the knowledge they need to understand both how to represent themselves online and how to measure the impact that can drive customer brand awareness and establish in-store credibility. Utilizing these tools, combined with an informed brand and content strategy, creates loyalty and wonderful customer engagement. 

Beyond big brands, Birk Creative offers a Small Business Online Transformation Package to help small business owners take their digital program to the next level and further our impact as a benefit corporation. When local Chicago business 7M Woodworking approached us to digitally transform, it was struggling with online advertising. We built a roadmap for it to become a thriving Google Shopping partner. After performing a top-to-bottom audit of its existing online interface, we determined that the company needed a completely redesigned digital ecosystem that included a new ad strategy, messaging, content, branding, visual identity and analytics. With our transformation package, Birk Creative brought 7M into the next chapter of its digital program, also producing a photoshoot, mood boards, editorial interviews, social media strategy and custom videos to create strategy-aligned content. In addition to 7M’s Google Shopping migration, we integrated Yoast SEO into the back-end of the company’s website, making it functional to attract more visitors.
